Over the course of two hours, you’ll come away with a certification to teach the Consenses Curriculum, the relief that comes from creative expression, and a way to integrate creativity into your teachings to engage an even wider population of students and colleagues. This is the confidence builder, once you take this you won't have any doubts that you are capable of teaching this curriculum.
2. The Consenses at Home Curriculum
Inspired by Sally Taylor's global creative initiative—Consenses at Home is a beautifully crafted, 100% online, multidisciplinary approach to building social-emotional skills through the arts. It is designed for 5th-12th graders but can be modified easily to accommodate older students and adults.
Over the course of ten, 90-minute lessons, students engage in a structured collaborative process of creating "Interpretive Chains," using a range of art forms to engage all five of their senses as they build understanding and appreciation for the value of diverse perspectives and the equality of all voices.
Select a group of participants! You will serve as a facilitator who will lead students through lessons, collect and distribute artwork, and celebration your creations at the end.
3. A 30-minute One-on-One Zoom with Sally.
Have a conversation with Sally about you're Consenses dreams. She'll be there to answer any questions you might have, offer support in the form of confetti parades, and suggest modifications to the curriculum to be sure you're class will have the best experience ever.
